Who are we?

The infrastructure behind Stoa was first designed as a place to host Social Ontology 2020, an online conference in the philosophy of the social world.

Stoa is a project of the philosophy department at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was made possible by the generous funding of the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Académie suisse des sciences humaines et sociales, the International Social Ontology Society and the University of Neuchâtel.

Stoa is named after the Greek building where scholars and artists commonly met.
